Terms of Service

These terms apply to Conversion Monitor (“the app”). By installing the app on a Shopify store you accept them, including the data processing terms below.
What the app does
The app records the orders your store receives and the events its own web pixel reports, and shows you where the two disagree. Figures it presents as estimates are labelled as estimates. It does not change your store, your theme, your checkout, or your orders.
Your responsibilities
- Tell your customers, in your own privacy policy, that you use an analytics app that records order totals and page referrers.
- Configure customer consent in Shopify if you sell into a jurisdiction that requires it. The app requests the analytics consent category and Shopify enforces that choice.
- Keep your Shopify account secure. Anyone who can administer your store can see everything the app shows.
Data processing terms
For the data described in the privacy policy, you are the controller and we are the processor. We undertake to:
- process the data only to provide the app, and only on your instructions — never for our own purposes, never for advertising, and never for training any model;
- collect the minimum needed: no customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, payment details or order contents are stored;
- encrypt the data in transit and at rest;
- limit access to the operator of the service, and to the subprocessors named in the privacy policy;
- delete everything we hold for your store when Shopify sends the redaction request that follows an uninstall;
- assist you with customer access and erasure requests. Shopify forwards these to us automatically and we answer every one;
- notify you without undue delay, and in any case within 72 hours, if we become aware of a breach affecting your store’s data.
Availability
The app is provided as is, without a service level guarantee. If it stops collecting for a period, the numbers for that period will be incomplete, and the app will say so rather than present a figure it cannot stand behind.
Ending the agreement
Uninstall the app at any time from your Shopify admin. Collection stops immediately and your data is deleted when Shopify sends the redaction request.
